Over 15 years ago I became a minister the process was simple and has taught me many valuable lessons in life. As a legally ordained minister you will have all the legal authority of a minister. I wrote a small e-book explaining how I received my credentials and how I was able to use them.
When accepted you will also qualify for one of our degree programs. I received a D.D. 10 years ago, an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. That piece of paper has opened more doors in my life than all of my other degrees, certificates and certifications put together.

These documents are legal in all 50 states and in most countries. The organization has been around for over 25 years is based in the USA and has over 20 million members World Wide.

As a minister, you can Officiate Wedding Ceremonies, Baptisms, Ordain, and any other ritual or ceremony. You can even start your own ministry. You are not required to purchase anything to gain the legal benefits, entitlements and respect.

1. Over ten years ago I joined ULC. I became a minister and also received
their Doctorate of Divinity. I can only begin to tell you how ULC has changed my life.
You could find this information for free on the web, yes, this is true. But, it may be difficult to find the person that has actually used ULC resources in their everyday life, such as I have. This information could prove to be priceless, if you wish to use the information I have chosen to share with you.
I try to give you useful, honest information that you can use to make an educated
decision about becoming a minister. I am a minister and have been using my credentials since day one!
In my case I had studied religion for years, but I was still searching for my own answers. Most of the clergy, elders, spiritualists, etc. really didn't have the answers I was looking for.
I am writing this report from my own personal experience of being A ULC minister.
These credentials were used to greatly enhance my spiritual well being, my personal self esteem and business relationships. Now thats a lot of things isnt it. I didnt start a church but you can if you would like to.
ULC may have some of the answers you are looking for, they offer many programs
to enhance your life at very reasonable prices.
My ULC experience has taught me to look inside for the answers. You may have a different goal than mine. It's up to you what you want to do with your credentials, there are unlimited uses that one can come up with!

Do you know a good resource to get Minister's Licensce (plastic wallet size cards) created and printed?
@SWEETSURRENDER The term "online ordination" is used as a sort of shorthand, but the ordinations are not really done online. The Universal Life Church uses the Internet to communicate, just like any other organization. But the ordinations are reviewed by human beings and recorded as a part of a deliberate, thoughtful and responsible act. They are not just spit out by a computer.
Officiating a marriage is certainly not akin to performing heart surgery in any case. The couple must still obtain a marriage license from the state, the ceremony must be witnessed and the license returned to the state (county) for recording. Once the county records it, the couple is legally married.
State attorneys general in several states have issued opinion letters affirming that ULC ministers may officiate marriage, and there have been several court cases affirming this as well.
The amount of time a minister spends preaching during a wedding is irrelevant to the process. And be careful about thinking that ANY pastor/preacher has a "clean soul". We're all pretty much the same in that regard, I assure you!

Surprisingly enough we have a few freedoms. One of them is freedom of religion. Visit the ULC website and spend a few years reading their website as I have. Then you might start to grasp the ignorance of your statements.
HOW IS ANY ONE ABLE TO BECOME A MINISTER TO MARRY, DONT YOU THINK YOU NEED TO BE A CHILD OF GOD FIRST GIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE LORD!. HOW CAN YOU BE A MINISTER OF GOD, IF YOUR SOUL IS NOT CLEANSED, THE BIBLE SAYS WE NEED TO BE CLEAN NOT A SOPT OR WRINKLE. I WENT TO THIS WEDDING WHERE THIS FRIEND POP UP ON STAGE MARRIED OUR FREINDS IN 2 MIN. BUT I KNOW SHE IS LIVING IN SIN. THATS LIKE "SATAN" MARRYING YOU. I DONT BELIEVE IN THIS. OK SO THAT GIVES ME THE RIGHT TO GET A ONLINE 'CERTIFACATE' TO BE A HEART SURGON.. NO HELLOOO PEOPLE WAKE UP. THOSE OF YOU OUT THERE WHO GOT MARRIED BY A NON PASTOR/NON MINISTER. YOU BETTER THINK TWICE YOUR MARRIAGE IS NOT LEGAL.....
